We are based in Allerød and you will be part of a very well-integrated team where we care for outstanding working atmosphere. The team supports the global company, by providing customized high technological solutions.

As Senior Embedded Software Developer you will join our D&E team, currently consisting of 30 colleagues with various nationalities and educational backgrounds within electronic, software and mechanical design. In D&E we work in smaller project groups electronics, software, and mechanical engineers together to get a holistic approach to our products and tools and to benefit from each other’s knowledge and expertise. The work environment is informal, creative, fun, and of cause with clear targets.

The position

The position is a replacement for one of our most experienced embedded software developers who is leaving for a well-deserved retirement.

Technically the main objective for the position is to maintain and improve the serial data communication infrastructure between several embedded devices, on a system which is rapidly growing and therefore the overall architecture must be the state of the art. The position involves leading all aspects from system architecture, specification, implementation to test and validation.

Beside the technical tasks, it is expected to lead and train other engineers in best practice related to embedded software.

As Senior Embedded Software Developer you will report to the Director, Development & Engineering, Electronics and Software.
Your responsibilities together with the team will include:

Senior Embedded Software developer:

Define, lead, and implement data infrastructure connecting several devices
Own the embedded software release process
Cooperate with sub-contractors
Challenge the business with new ideas and concepts
Participate in exhibition and forums related to IOT, Connectivity, and Data Protocols
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the Development and Engineering Department

The candidate

You are a passionate embedded software developer with strong experience in efficient data infrastructure from individual sensors and devices. You would like the challenge of creating reliable data connection for controlling and visualization of robotic operations for extreme harsh environments. It drives you to work in close collaboration with the best hardware and software designers, consultants, and sub-contractors. You are creative, practical, and organized in both the design and verification process of your system designs.

You can take the lead and provide guidance to ensure a consistent high quality of embedded software design and implementation.

The preferred candidate has the following profile:

Master’s or bachelor’s degree and specialized in embedded software development
Minimum 10 years’ of experience in embedded software, design and implementation.
Expierenced in selecting protocols for the different protocol layers
Proactive with an energetic attitude towards implementing embedded softwaresytems and continual improvements.
Ability to work in teams across departments.

Following competencies are required:

C and C++
Assembler
Expierenced in low level serial data protocols
SVN

Further, it is an advantage if you are familiar with:

IOT and Automotive data protocols
FPGA programming

In addition to the above, you must be ambitious and a natural high performer with self-confidence and a total commitment on delivering results.
