The department

Welltec is recruiting for a Business Development Managers for our Well Intervention Services covering the North American markets. The location we are currently hiring for are is in Midland, Texas. We are looking for a candidate with strong experience from a similar role in the Oil and Gas service industry, with a minimum of 6 to 10 years’ experience required.

 

The position 

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing solutions with clients utilizing a strong understanding of technical application and regularly following up for feedback
  • Responsible for working with the appropriate internal resources to solve customer issues including service quality
  • Proposing solutions to customers formally (through presentations, bids, tender submissions, and proposals) and informally through networks, industry events, relationships and discussions
  • Responsible for the generation of annual revenue targets through the creation and conversion of sales plans, including growth strategies
  • Accountable for delivering positive commercial results through strong negotiating skills which result in significant continuous improvements in margin performance
  • Drive new business growth and build critical mass within agreed time frames in target regions
  • Identify and create coordinated business development opportunities.
  • Actively manage and report on the achievement of business development targets as well as industry performance and trends
 

The candidate

The preferred candidate has the following profile:

  • Degree in petroleum engineering or other engineering disciplines
  • The preferred candidate will have between 5 and 15 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas Service Industry, in commercial or operational roles . A minimum of 3 years in sales and business development roles will be beneficial
  • Strong practical and technical understanding of Well Intervention
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Visio software. CRM knowledge is an asset
  • Fluent in English language – both written and verbal
