Royal Camp Services is a privately held company which provides industry leading remote location accommodations for workforce housing. We offer long-term and seasonal employment in the culinary, hospitality, remote site services, and remote site operations industries.

Our hospitality team specializes in providing clean, friendly, and comfortable lodges for our clients. We achieve this by exceeding our client’s service expectations on a daily basis. Our hospitality staff work the front-lines ensuring client rooms and common areas are clean, inviting, and ready for use.

A Combo Worker able to perform the duties of a Housekeeper, Janitor, and Kitchen General Helper. They are responsible for maintaining the living areas occupied by staff and clients and assisting in the kitchen as needed.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Clean bedrooms including making the bed, vacuuming, dusting, washing windows and blinds, washing baseboards, clean mirrors, empty garbage cans, and spot cleaning walls
  • Clean bathroom including replacing towels, replenishing toiletries, disinfecting shower, toilet, sink, taps, and wash bathroom floor
  • Clean linens and towels, fold and restock linen closet
  • Clean laundry room wiping surfaces, sweeping, mopping, dusting, clean lint traps, replace laundry supplies as needed, and organize shelves
  • Clean all light fixtures, air ducts, and doors
  • Clean dorm hallway by vacuuming, dusting, spot cleaning walls
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop entrances, boot rooms, stairs, and floors
  • Dust, disinfect, and/or wash surfaces, windows, and equipment (i.e., remote controls, gym equipment, pool cues, tables, chairs, vending machines, etc.)
  • Empty garbage and recyclables in common areas
  • Clean common area bathrooms including washing mirrors, toilets, sinks, spot cleaning walls/stalls, sinks, faucets, sweeping and mopping floors, empty garbage
  • Pick up, wash, and replenish towels in gym, as applicable to site
  • Shovel snow, when needed
  • Exterior housekeeping, including disposing of litter from parking lots and general camp areas
  • Clean and maintain arctic corridors by sweeping, mopping, and spot cleaning walls (as applicable to site)
  • Dish washing duties utilizing the 3-sink cleaning method
  • Stocking, shelving, and replenishing of food and supplies in kitchen and dining areas
  • Wiping counters and tables
  • Sweeping and mopping of kitchen areas
  • Ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks are completed
  • Washing, peeling, and wrapping food
  • Ensure food quality, food safety (including reporting all food allergies), and food standards are followed
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures as per task, product usage, or PPE requirements
  • Participate in Toolbox meetings, complete Field Level Hazard Assessment, and Hazard Identifications on a daily basis
  • Report any maintenance issues and safety concerns to a supervisor
  • Assist in unloading the grocery truck
  • Any other job duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Available to work multiple rotations including but not limited to 21-7, 10-4, 9-5, and 14-7
  • Must supply your own transportation to our camp transfer site located in Edmonton or Grande Prairie
  • Able to work either a day shift or night shift
  • A valid Standard First Aid Certificate is required
  • A valid Alberta Health Services recognized Food Safety Certificate is required
  • Steel toed non-slip work shoes are required for all positions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (including reading, writing, and speaking English)
  • Be able to lift/move up to 25lbs throughout a work shift
  • Be able to work comfortably and maintain high levels of performance during 12 hour shifts
  • Be able to provide at least 2 professional work references
  • Misc. safety requirements based upon position and site requirements
