Position
Experienced H2S Safety Specialist

Firemaster Oilfield Services Inc is currently looking for H2S Safety Specialists.

Job Summary

• Looking for team members who are familiar with the Oil and Gas Industry and are experienced in working safely around the hazards associated with H2S.
• Willing and able to participate in site safety meetings and the planning and execution of a rescue in the case of an H2S event.
• Experience in rigging in/out and using gas detection equipment, trailer mounted cascade systems, and can show competence in the donning and doffing of both SCBA’s (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus) and SABA’s (Supplied Air Breathing Apparatus).
• Trailer hauling experience in accordance with DOT Regulations and Provincial Laws.

Job Responsibilities

• Take reasonable care to protect your health and safety and that of other workers by following Firemaster’s safety policies & procedures, as well as government and industry regulations.
• Drive company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.
• Maintain vehicles in excellent working order and keep vehicles clean at all times.
• Be punctual.
• Safe operation of all other Firemaster equipment.
• Perform duties in the shop and on location as required by Firemaster’s policies & procedures.
• Display professional work habits in the shop and on location.
• Maintain an accurate log book as per Government regulations.
• Completion of daily paper work, such as vehicle Pre-Trip Inspections, Safety Meeting Checklists, ERP’s, Personnel on Lease head counts, site specific orientations and keeping record of personnel’s tickets and expiry dates.

Qualifications

• Minimum Class 5 Drivers License with clean Driver’s Abstract, must provide an Abstract within 30 days prior to hiring date.
• Current Enform H2S Alive Certification.
• Current First Aid.
• Current Confined Space Entry.
• eGSO (Electrical General Safety Orientation).
