Flushby Unit and Endless Rod Rig Operator

Want to join a team where you can make a difference and you count? The Field Services team at Lifting Solutions Inc. is growing and in need of an experienced Flushby Unit/ Endless Rod® Rig Operator for our Lloydminster and Bonnyville operations. In this position, you will be responsible for operating our fleet of brand new, innovative service units that are designed for highly-efficient, safe continuous rod services and well diagnostics for our clients’ oil wells.

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

This is an integral role in which you will be accountable for driving business activity and demonstrating best-in-class service quality through safe and efficient operating of service equipment. You will be responsible for operating our Endless Rod Rig, overseeing all activities during the well services, performing and managing all required preventive maintenance and regulatory inspections, and providing supervision and leadership to the rig assistants. To guarantee success, you will have strong technical, communication, and leadership skills.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

In alignment with the Lifting Solutions culture, mission, vision and values, you will be responsible to:

Operate the rig and oversee all tasks performed during the well services
Demonstrate a high level of safety leadership on and off the wellsite through daily safety meetings, JSA review, hazard assessments, and safety drills
Maintain and promote positive relationships with our clients
Supervise and mentor service rig assistants
Perform work shift scheduling, training, and competency development for service rig assistants
Properly handle continuous rod to eliminate risk exposure and ensure product integrity for downhole performance
Maintain a highly clean working environment on the customer’s wellsite and in the service rig, crew truck, and doghouse
Ensure all required paperwork is completed thoroughly, accurately, and timely as required
Perform all required preventive maintenance checks, inspections, and tasks
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to mitigate or eliminate workplace hazards
Effectively manage and control operating expenses for the Flushby Unit/Endless Rod Rig, crew truck, and doghouse
Comply with all industry, regulatory, and company standards, regulations, and policies

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent
Valid class 3 or 1 with air brake endorsement driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
Valid industry training certificates including, but not limited to, BOP Well Control, H2S, First Aid, CPR, and Fall Arrest
Minimum 5 years of experience working in the oil and gas well servicing industry
Minimum 3 years of experience operating a Flushby Unit or service rig
Continuous rod handling and well servicing experience is considered an asset

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Stamina and strength to work long hours, sometimes in adverse weather conditions
Proven organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work well under pressure, individually, and as part of a team, while balancing multiple demands
