YOUR OPPORTUNITY:
 

The Process Engineer - Engineering Information Management (EIM) will play an active role in supporting the management of engineering information with a focus on process engineering. This will include supporting legacy cleanup of documents, supporting project document turnover, as well as leveraging engineering design tools including SmartPlant 3D models, and Fusion in support of operations and maintenance.   

 

This position is based in Calgary, Alberta and is eligible for:

  • Relocation to Calgary

While this is a Calgary based position, regular travel to Albian site is a requirement of this position to provide ongoing EIM process engineering discipline support

HOW WILL YOU MAKE YOUR MARK?

  • Provide EIM technical support to the plant process engineering group
  • Support legacy document cleanup to ensure the McLaren controlled document collection contains the latest revision of documents
  • Support engineering design tools implementation including SmartPlant 3D model and Fusion engineering information integration
  • Effectively work in a multidisciplinary team to efficiently contribute to the delivery of engineering information (discipline engineering, projects, document control, operations, maintenance planning and reliability teams).
  • Support the project handover process to ensure internal and external standards and procedures for both operations and major projects are met
  • Support the management of change handover process to ensure engineering information is turned over

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Engineering degree is required; preference in Chemical/ Process/ Mineral processing engineering
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with APEGA required
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience working in oil sands facilities including oil sands ore preparation and extraction, froth treatment, and hydrotransport pipelines
  • Plant operations and/or commissioning and start-up experience in an oil sands processing plant would be considered an asset
