SUMMER STUDENT RELIEF OPERATOR – HARMATTAN GAS PROCESSING COMPLEX

We are currently seeking Summer Relief Operators to work in the Operations group at our Central Alberta Harmattan Gas processing complex.  Harmattan operations personnel work a twenty-eight day rotating shift schedule (42 hours per week).

Responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist with the day to day operations of a major gas processing plant consisting of compression, amine sweetening, dehydration, deep cut liquid extraction, fractionation, CO2 recovery and sulphur recovery.
  • Supporting operator or maintenance personnel
  • Housekeeping and maintaining a safe work environment
  • Other duties deemed necessary for the safe and effective operation of the Harmattan plant

Qualifications:

  • Currently a student working towards an Engineering Technologist or a Power Engineering Diploma
  • Experience in a gas plant or refinery operating would be considered an asset
  • Team Player
  • Self-starter and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Willing to work shift work    
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
