We are currently seeking a Super Sucker Operator for our location in Ozona,TX

Incumbent drives specialized commercial motor vehicle, Super Sucker, in compliance with regulations required by the DOT (Department of Transportation). Primary duties include transporting equipment to job sites and performing tank cleaning services for customers. Incumbent will operate high-pressure equipment on the Super Sucker unit in confined spaces. Operator works side-by-side and provides oversight to assigned helpers/crew responsible to empty and clean various types of tanks or other areas that can be cleaned by suction.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drives and operates Super Sucker Class B vehicle in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and company guidelines/safety procedures.
Maintains a DOT driver log and records according to regulations and requirements.
Conducts and documents all pre-trip and post-trip inspections of unit in accordance with DOT regulations and company guidelines.
Documents and notifies appropriate district personnel of current or anticipated repair needs; may perform minor maintenance or emergency road service when needed on the unit or equipment/tools.
Completes required work plans, job safety analysis, observations, attends safety meetings and safety training as required.
Maintains satisfactory customer service, keeping in person contact or radio / telephone contact when vehicle is safely parked with customer, supervisor or dispatcher for communication about work related matters or assignments.
Completes work tickets to ensure conformance with instructions and orders for proper payroll and/or invoicing.
Reports all safety issues, incidents, and concerns to management in accordance to incident reporting procedures.
Takes atmospheric/environmental readings in tanks to be cleaned/entered.
Performs tasks as expected in accordance with safe practices and guidelines including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing duties.
Operates the suction pump and pressure washer on the unit.
Directs and oversees the activities of the Super Sucker crew; ensures safe work practices, behavior and performance of each crew member.
General housekeeping/cleaning of unit and work location, position-and-drag hoses, squeegee, suction and clean tanks.
Maintains unit free of debris or loose items
Act as a rescuer for crew member in the tank when needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma, GED, or the equivalent preferred.
Valid Class A, CDL and acceptable driving record for the past 3 yrs.
Ability to positively direct and interact well with others in a team environment.
Ability to work variable schedules/shifts and long hours.
Able to work in all types of outdoor climates and conditions.
Able to work in confined spaces (enter/exit oilfield related tanks); Confined Space Training required
One (1) year related experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of oilfield well servicing preferred.
Knowledge of or experience in mechanical maintenance preferred.
The following qualifications apply if operating in interstate commerce (crossing state lines) or in states that use the Federal Regulations for intrastate (within the state) operations.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally in English.
Must be at least 21 years old.
