Reliance OFS Canada Ltd . is currently seeking applicants for a Wireline Supervisor position based out of our Grande Prairie, AB location. The successful candidates will provide assistance to the crew and management with duties in the field and shop. Our company offers a competitive compensation package with benefits and a 15/6 schedule.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

 

·         18 years of age

 

·         Class 5 drivers licence (minimum), preferably class 1 or 3Q drivers licence

 

·         Successful completion of pre-employment screening (medical / audiogram / drug & alcohol)

 

·         Experience in Electricline, Slickline and Combination Wireline services

 

·         Knowledge of all well types at any depth, including critical sour, deviated wells, pump down wells, etc.

 

·         Understand advanced principles of tool operation and servicing

 

·         Team player who can also work independently, paying attention to detail

 

·         Superior communication and problem solving skills

 

·         Exhibits strong leadership skills

 

·         Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast pace environment and meet tight deadlines

 

·         Demonstrates independent and critical thinking

 

·         Ability to analyze situations accurately and take appropriate action

 

·         Takes initiative on assuming additional responsibilities and new challenges

 

·         Exhibits a positive attitude

 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

 

·         Demonstrate professional attitude and provide customer with operational expertise

 

·         Strong leadership role in field operations and in the shop (shop maintenance, shop equipment maintenance, yard maintenance, housekeeping, security, supervising operators)

 

·         Able to work on a 24 hour on call basis

 

·         Assist in crew dispatching and coordinating with customers

 

·         Plan and execute operation of wireline unit (tools, logistics, crews, etc.)

 

·         Assist with rig in / rig out lubricator, wireline tools and sheaves as required

 

·         Complete field invoicing and have an understanding of the price book

 

·         Maintain required safety, operational and regulatory documentation as required and submit in a timely manner

 

·         Ensure wireline unit and shop are stocked with required tools and supplies

 

·         Mentor and assist with wireline truck maintenance and auxiliary equipment

 

·         Complete driver evaluation

 

·         Complete basic safety courses

 

·         Complete customer safety courses as required

 

·         Initiates self-improvement through soft skills training (LMS)

 

·         Familiar with business, sales and financial aspects

 

·         Supervise / assist in rebuild basic wireline tools

 

·         Run junk basket and gauge ring

 

·         Ability to set bridge plugs, cement retainers, packers with grease injection

 

·         Supervise the operation of a grease injection unit

 

·         Dump bail cement / sand

 

·         Proficient with slickline tools, packers, profile nipples, etc.

 

·         Have a basic knowledge of pipe recovery operations

 

·         Calculate hydrostatic pressures and hole volumes

 

·         Understand the operations and principles of basic mechanical and hydraulic components

 

·         Understand and able to operate advanced pressure control equipment

 

·         Supervise / assist with rig in and rig out of pressure control equipment and tools as required

 

·         Supervise / assist with rig in and out of lubricator, and tools as required

 

·         Ability to locate open / shorts in wireline tools and surface equipment

 

·         Operate and supervise a standard mast unit and/or mast unit with swab line (station specific)

 

·         Understand the theory of #10 & # 20 Baker setting tools / Owen Shorty setting tools

 

·         Supervise / assist with gun loading operations

 

·         Arm all explosive devices

 

·         Ability to run chemical cutters, string shots and jet cutters

 

·         Ability to perforate and understand shot densities and gun limitations

 

·         Understand basic TCP perforating configuration

 

·         TCP perforate with packer / separation tool, profile nipples, pressure activated firing heads and over balanced perforating

 

·         Ability to run GR / N / CCL logs and correlate on depth to open hole

 

·         Ability to run GR / CCL / temperature logs

 

·         Ability to run specialty logs GR / CCL / Temp, CNL, Noise / Log and correlate on depth to open hole logs

 

·         Ability to run GR / N / CCL / CBL / VDL and RBL logs and correlate on depth to open hole log and to be able to give customer interpretations as required

 

·         Ability to run tools in horizontal wells

 

·         Understand down hole well conditions, hydrates, deviation, pipe problems etc.

 

·         Practical knowledge of advanced technical completions

 

·         On-site project coordinator for complex operations

 

Preference will be given to candidates with: 

 

·         Class 1 or 3Q licence with a clean driver’s abstract

 

·         Valid H2S Alive, First Aid and Oilwell Perforator Safety Training (Blasters) certifications
